The votes are in, and “stunning,” “sparkling,” and “dynamic” are the terms most used by the news media to describe UAB’s new Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts with its “soaring, glassed-in atrium.” We invite you to visit our exhibitions and permanent collections.

Public Hours

Monday-Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: Noon to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

AEIVA is an entity of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In the event of inclement weather, AEIVA follows UAB policy for school and campus closing. More information can be found on the UAB Emergency Management website.

Galleries Two and Three will be closed May 7 – June 1 for installation.

PUBLIC RECEPTION Friday, April 28 | 6-8 pm

The 2017 Spring Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition will feature works by graduating University of Alabama at Birmingham students in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Art and Art History. The focus of these works represent a wide variety of individual studio areas offered by the Department, with interdisciplinary approaches spanning multiple mediums.

Featured students include Mikala Buwalda, Erin Croxton, Annabelle Decamillis, Melody Hollenbeck, Alaa Ismail, Katelyn Ledford, Meredith Martin, Bryce Martinez, Augusta McKewen, Eric Moore, Daniel Nagorneac, Jacob Phillips, Samantha Richardson, Daniel Senko, Annie Strong, and Vincent Rizzo.
